Who We Are

Austec was one of the first Building Automation Companies in Australia to promote BACnet Open Protocol. At this time, the BACnet protocol was being developed and improved through international industry organisations and standards such as ASHRAE, ANSI, and ISO 16484-5.

History has now shown that Austec is an industry leader in the adoption of new technologies, this continues today with our Building Management Systems (BMS) evolving into Building & Energy Management Systems utilising only open, non-proprietary protocols and software.

Austec’s reach now extends across all of Australia with offices in Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns, Bundaberg and Adelaide.

Austec is 100% Australian owned and operated, and while the company has grown, its owners are still actively involved in its operation. The owner’s direct involvement in conjunction with our long-serving highly experienced employees ensures continual personalised service our customers have come to expect.

We are committed to maintaining our Quality Standards and Safe Workplace through our investment in external accreditation to achieve ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Systems and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems. Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

Our Workplace Health and Safety Management System has accreditation to ISO 45001:2018 standards and safety is a prerequisite of all Austec operations. We are incredibly proud of our safety record, which includes zero safety incidents in the history of our business.

All staff undergo extensive health and safety training, including hazard and risk identification and control and safe work procedures. No team member commences work at a site until they have been entirely inducted.

We develop and refine detailed Safe Work Method Statements for all of our project and service activities, and site-specific safety management plans are completed for all projects.
