Swimming Australia has recognised the Brisbane Aquatic Centre as a National Podium Performance Centre. The Centre is part of the Sleeman Sports Complex and is a major sporting and entertainment facility owned and operated by Stadiums Queensland.

About this Project
The complex was used to host the 1982 Commonwealth Games. The Aquatic Centre currently hosts International, National and State events which cater to a wide variety of aquatic and fitness activities, learn to swim programs and community sports.
The purpose-built Anna Meares Velodrome was added in 2016, ahead of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, and boasts an international standard 250-metre cycling track.
