About this Project
Austec is delivering a comprehensive upgrade of the Building Management System (BMS), transitioning from the existing Honeywell EBI to an open-protocol BACnet platform for greater flexibility and long-term integration.
Key upgrades include the installation of dedicated BMS panels on each floor for AHU control, and the implementation of a new RSTP Ethernet backbone to support VAV and PAC unit controllers. The system will be integrated into the Niagara N4 platform, providing a user-friendly interface for monitoring and control.
Data management will follow Project Haystack and OAP standards to ensure consistency and clarity across devices. Cybersecurity and system resilience will be enhanced through a rack-mounted server with UPS protection and a secure VPN firewall. An online, web-based after-hours air conditioning scheduling system will also be included for added convenience.
The retrofit will be completed while the building remains operational, with all works handled in-house by Austec’s licensed electrical technicians to ensure safety and compliance.
